EVALUATING QUALITY OF A DEGREE PROGRAM

From national recognition, accreditation and other certifications and labels, there are many frameworks to help you assessing the quality of an institution and degrees offered.

Read more on the global Campus France website about national accreditation and how to assess the quality of a degree program.

EVALUATING QUALITY OF A FRENCH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

There are hundreds of schools for French as a Foreign Language (or FLE, Français langue étrangère) courses and certifications throughout France. You’ll want to ensure you choose a high quality French language program.
FLE

We suggest first searching for a FLE program that is certified with the Label Qualité FLE, a recognition of quality awarded by France Education Internationale (formerly, the CIEP). The Qualité FLE is as certification of quality by the Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research, the Ministry for Culture and Communication and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Development, that aims to identify, recognize and promote French foreign language school whose language teaching and services present assurances of quality.

Search French language programs with the Label Qualité FLE

EVALUATING QUALITY OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

As an international student in France, your student experience depends not only on the quality of the academics, but also on the quality of support services that your institution and community provides. To help students identify institutions with robust support services, and also to create a national framework of standards to guide institutions, Campus France launched a certification program for international student services called the Label Bienvenue en France.

Label BeF

If an institution has been awarded the Label Bienvenue en France, it has met rigorous criteria for international student support. Support may include:

  • An on-campus and online ‘Welcome Desk’ that helps international students find housing, understand insurance, open a bank account, enroll in classes, etc.

  • Degree programs offered in English

  • French language classes for international students

  • A ‘Buddy System’, pairing international students with French students to facilitate integration

  • Assistance in the job search for international students

  • Support for student and alumni entrepreneurs, including international student start-ups

  • And more!

As of June 2020, there were nearly 90 institutions in France that have been awarded the Label Bienvenue en France. When you use any of the Campus France catalogs, you will be able to see the institutions that have been awarded the Label Bienvenue en France, and search for these institutions.
